Proudly serving non-profits, construction, hospitality, and other industries
Do you know a business owner still doing their books the old-fashioned way? Whether it's your business or a referral to someone you know, M&A brings a modern, forward-thinking approach to the entire bookkeeping process. With technology ever-changing, let us help you keep up with it.
Melyssa & Andrew are siblings, born and raised on Prince Edward Island. Together they founded M&A in 2022 with a shared entrepreneurial vision and now work with clients from across the country. M&A has shown exponential growth year over year, providing top quality bookkeeping services and review of workflow processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency across their clients.
After graduating from UPEI with her BBA in 2022, Melyssa co-founded M&A with the goal of helping business owners have a better grasp of their financials. She had over 4 years of bookkeeping experience before starting this firm, spanning several industries. Her main focus now is on the non-profit sector, with a few private small businesses rounding out her clientele.
With his entrepreneurial mindset, and several years of bookkeeping in the restaurant industry under his belt, Andrew took the first steps in starting M&A. From there, Andrew has grown his services from full-cycle bookkeeping to project-focused work, helping business owners with integrations and migrations and giving them the tools they need to make confident business decisions.

Access to your accounting software, bank feeds, and a shared document folder. Any review or clean-up work needed happens here as well.

Basic company information and a clear picture of where your books currently stand — that's step one. From there, we'll walk you through exactly what access we need to get going.
We work in QuickBooks Online. If you're coming from another software or spreadsheets, we'll move everything over for you as part of setup.
We can take over any time of year. The timing and status of your books — whether filings are up to date or there's catch-up work involved — helps us determine cost and where to start.
Most of our work is handled remotely by email and shared folders, which works well since we serve clients across Canada. We're happy to meet in person if you prefer for introductory meetings or when needed.
We prepare and file GST/HST and payroll remittances. We are also well-versed in personal taxes. Corporate returns go to your accountant; we prepare and send them a year-end package and work with them through the process if they have any questions.
Email is our main channel, and how often you hear from us depends on what your business needs — weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. We'll set that cadence together so you always know where things stand.
Introductory meeting free. Tell us where your books stand and a brief summary of what you are looking for and we will get back to you.
